acrylic is cool I used to do that too but I got over realism, I think oils are more suitable for my needs there is just something magical about them that can not be emulated with acrylic it took me a while but I converted. Now I use acrylic for underpainting as a kind of gesso. I sure do appreciate the time and effort you must put into your work, I know how it is when everything has to mean something.
